NICHD Fetal Growth Study

The purpose of this study is to better understand how babies grow and develop inside the womb during pregnancy.

This study is sponsored by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD). In all, 3,500 pregnant women will participate in this study.

For Participants
You may be eligible to participate in the Twins study if you are 18-45 years old or participate in the Singleton Study if you are 18-40 years old and are currently less than 14 weeks pregnant.
For Researchers
This study of 3500 pregnant women has been designed using a stratified overlapping cohort design to insure adequate numbers of pregnant mothers in multiple race and ethnic groups.
